Soil, a decentralized credit protocol, has announced that it has reached $2 million in Total Value Locked (TVL). This milestone was achieved quickly after the protocol’s public introduction and represents the changing environment of financial technology and investing methods.
Soil intends to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi) by providing institutional and individual investors with access to Real World Assets (RWAs).
This has happened while the global market for business debt is worth about $14 trillion. This means DeFi solutions have a huge chance of capturing part of the traditional finance market.
The protocol’s plan for getting into this market is to build a blockchain-based system that makes it easy to trade in RWA. This project is interesting because it expands the use of blockchain beyond digital assets to include more actual assets in the real world, possibly changing how buyers interact with these assets.
The system’s Initial DEX Offering (IDO) went well in October, raising over $800,000 across three launchpads. Once that was done, the $SOIL token was added to three exchanges: Gate.io, MEXC, and Uniswap. Since it went public on January 11, Soil’s TVL has crossed the $2 million mark, highlighting the ecosystem’s growth.
Soil CEO Jakub Bojan stressed that the protocol’s goal is to join traditional and autonomous financial sectors, giving RWA users access and security that has never been seen before.
“We are excited about bridging the TradFi and DeFi worlds and proud to offer an unprecedented level of access and security in RWA investments,” said Bojan, CEO of Soil.
“Our cutting-edge protocol is designed to meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance and scalability, ensuring that we are well-positioned to lead this exciting financial revolution.”
Soil’s development follows the strictest rules for legal compliance and scale. The company wants to be at the forefront of blockchain-based financial change.
Soil has worked with a well-known blockchain company on cash management, received a 10/10 security score from Hacken, and formed a strategic partnership with Mount TFI, a top private debt fund in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). These accomplishments show Soil’s commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and building trust in the banking sector. The protocol’s business plan has also been approved by financial market authorities, which makes it more legitimate and marketable.
Soil is led by a seasoned management team that has successfully managed over $1 billion in private loans. Their combined experience in technology and finance has enabled the development of a unique protocol that serves as a debt marketplace.
The importance of Soil’s accomplishments goes beyond its immediate financial success. This integration has various potential advantages, including more transparency, lower transaction costs, and improved security. However, it does present certain issues, including regulatory compliance, scalability, and bridging knowledge gaps between the TradFi and DeFi groups.
The rising profile of Soil’s protocol indicates a sea change in the financial industry, which is moving closer to combining blockchain technology with physical assets. This might lead to revolutionary changes in the industry as a whole.
This development shows the significance of regulatory compliance and technical resilience for the future of financial technology. It indicates the increasing trust of investors in DeFi platforms. Soil’s approach stands out as a step towards making investing more accessible and inclusive. It envisions a future where money is more inclusive and democratized.
Soil’s technical groundwork, particularly its commitment to scalability and security, addresses major concerns about DeFi platform viability. Emphasizing these features is vital for earning trust and ensuring that DeFi can meet global financial system demands.
Soil’s efforts highlight the rising trend of using blockchain to open up investing landscapes to a large audience, speeding transactions and lowering costs. Soil leads the battle towards financial inclusion by unlocking global assets, allowing a varied crowd to travel into previously inaccessible regions. This is part of a larger campaign for financial democratization, in which the benefits of investing flow beyond the constraints of conventional market custodians.
