Plateau State, Nigeria’s 12th largest state, situated at the nation’s center, becomes a focal point for this collaborative initiative. Boasting a population of approximately 4.2 million residents, the state is recognized for its mild weather conditions, occasionally reaching as low as 10 degrees Celsius.
According to Algorand Foundation, the organization has made significant investments in Nigeria’s software developer education since 2021, with over 500 software developers trained in 2023 alone. Notably, more than 10% of the developers trained in 2023 hail from Plateau State. Events organized by the Foundation in December 2023, including a workshop and a policy dinner, saw the active participation of 50 software developers and senior members of the Plateau State Government.
