Blockchain project Aptos has announced a partnership with STAN to launch an eSports-focused blockchain platform aimed at India’s 500 million gamers. Aptos account, the companies will utilize Aptos’ scalability and performance to open up new engagement opportunities between gamers and their favorite streamers.
The new platform will allow Indian gamers to purchase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to support eSports players and gain exclusive access to games, meet-and-greets, and interviews. This approach hopes to foster greater connectivity and inclusion between enthusiasts and their gaming heroes.
Aptos brings capabilities like 160 transactions per second throughput and experience from developers who previously worked with Mark Zuckerberg. Combined with STAN’s domain expertise in Indian eSports, the partners aim to create an immersive, multifaceted experience for the country’s vast base of gamers.
News of the Aptos-STAN partnership comes as a 2.3% price increase for Aptos’ APT token over 24 hours. APT rose to $9.44, while trading volumes rose 7.23% to $168 million.
The project has ambitious plans beyond transforming Indian gaming. Aptos utilizes blockchain accounts to enable access control over assets like coins and NFTs ]. Its Move programming language allows developers to encode complex business logic.
With strong transaction speeds and developer tools, Aptos aims to power the next generation of blockchain applications while avoiding issues like high fees and environmental impact.
