IIT Delhi and Madhya Pradesh Launch Specialized Tech Courses
IIT Delhi, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Department of Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment, has established centers of excellence in artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain technology, and computer vision (AR/VR). These initiatives are aimed at third and final-year BE and BTech students. A nominal fee of Rs 1000 is required for enrollment in each course, which is refundable upon successful completion. This partnership marks a significant advancement in the state’s education sector, focusing on futuristic and in-demand technologies.
Enhancing Skills in Emerging Technologies
These courses are designed to equip students with skills in rapidly growing fields like AI and blockchain, areas where industries are evolving and creating new opportunities. With a projected growth of $190.61 billion by 2025 in the AI market, the initiative aims to prepare students for emerging challenges and opportunities. Graduates of these programs will receive a joint certificate from IIT Delhi and the Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board. The courses, funded under the SANKALP scheme of the Indian government, reflect an increasing demand for expertise in these advanced technologies among major tech companies.
The training sessions are scheduled for weekday afternoons and weekend mornings, accommodating students’ availability. An informative webinar, set for November 24, 2023, will provide further insights into these courses. This initiative, offering both theoretical and practical knowledge, is accessible to all engineering colleges in the state. The Centers of Excellence at IIT Delhi are also dedicated to conducting deep research and product development in critical areas such as smart cities and energy, highlighting the institute’s commitment to advancing education and research in cutting-edge technologies.
