The Cardano Foundation announced its collaboration with Petrobras, Brazil’s state-owned oil company, to promote blockchain technology education and explore its applications in the energy sector. This exciting partnership will see more than 40,000 Petrobras employees taking part in educational workshops under the Cardano Academy umbrella, a program available through the Petrobras University.

Blockchain Education for the Energy Sector

The workshops will delve into the potentials of blockchain technology, providing participants with the opportunity to interact with quizzes about the technology. This initiative aims to strengthen the understanding of blockchain technology and its varied applications within Petrobras and the broader energy sector. The Cardano Foundation views this as a step forward in its mission to expand blockchain education and explore new use cases in the energy sector.

Metaverse Workshops and NFTs

To commemorate the launch, workshops were held in the metaverse discussing blockchain regulations in Brazil and globally. Further adding a touch of innovation, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will be employed to monitor participants’ progress. The first 500 will receive unique NFTs that reflect their progress. Upon completion of the training, all participants will receive a certificate.

The partnership with Petrobras aligns with Cardano’s five-year goals of collaborating with Fortune 500 companies and diversifying blockchain activity across a broader range of industries.
