Nandy Martin, better known as Captain Haiti, the driving force behind this initiative, outlined plans to utilize blockchain technology to empower residents in the acquisition of property in Little Haiti, alongside boosting local tourism and business through the ‘Little Haiti Walls’ project.

Captain Haiti Foundation aims to assist Miami’s Haitian community in acquiring land, homes, and commercial properties to counteract the adverse effects of gentrification. This effort includes the innovative use of geolocated music NFTs, in partnership with Web3 music infrastructure provider Nusic, which will offer collectors real estate purchasing rights. Parallel to the real estate acquisition strategy, the ‘Little Haiti Walls’ initiative is poised to transform Little Haiti into a vibrant tourist destination. Drawing inspiration from the success of Miami’s Wynwood Walls, Captain Haiti envisions attracting 150,000 tourists annually, which would significantly benefit local businesses and foster cultural exchange. Furthermore, the foundation plans to raise an additional $300,000 for community beautification efforts, including cleanup, public art, and the creation of green spaces, embodying the project’s holistic approach to community revitalization.
