Sentiment about most cryptocurrencies has stayed positive in 2023, as per a recently published study from CoinWire. To arrive at this claim, the study considered discussions surrounding cryptocurrencies in online articles and social media sites like X and Reddit.
Cryptocurrencies that saw a record run during the pandemic years suffered a significant blow as the world went back to the usual way of functioning. In November 2022, Bitcoin traded at $16,000, a quarter of its valuation from its peak.
However, the flagship cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, made little news during 2023, even as crypto exchanges like FTX remained in the public eye for all the wrong reasons. Despite this, the value of Bitcoin has gradually climbed over 200 percent and is now trading at $42,000. In its study, CoinWire found that the sentiment about cryptocurrencies had remained positive during 2023.
